Problems forwarding emails in the format they were sent (HTML)

Greetings,

I receive several HTML formatted newsletters that I would like to
forward to others either w/addresses showing or as groups Bcc.

When I try to do so it converts to text.

The only thing that works is a redirect, however it looks like it came
from the source and not me when the recipient receives it.

Is there a trick to this?

thank you - chikster

Entourage's HTML creation engine is considerably less powerful than its HTML
reading engine; when you hit the Forward button, you're instructing
Entourage to re-send this message with its own HTML engine, which is why the
results, especially in the case of complex HTML messages, are usually quite
disappointing. In Entourage 2004, you could simply select the message and
then select Message>Forward as Attachment; in Entourage v.X, which doesn't
have that option, drag the message to the desktop and attach the resulting
..eml file to a new e-mail. By doing so, you're bypassing Entourage's HTML
engine, and your messages will be sent with the original formatting intact.

Thank you, Michel. Hope this feature is added in the next update as
well as the ability to create HTML emails such as newsletters within
the message rather than an attachement.

Thank you, Michel. Hope this feature is added in the next update as
well as the ability to create HTML emails such as newsletters within
the message rather than an attachement.

You can do that already in Office 2004 - create your message in Word, where
you can use tables, embedded graphics and all the tools you like, then
choose 'Send to'; 'mail recipient (As HTML)' from the File menu.

However, you can only create new messages using Word, nor can you attach
files...

What seems VERY odd is that if you Redirect the message
(Message->Redirect...) Entourage does render the message just as you
received it! While I do love the Redirect feature, it isn¹t a solution,
since you can¹t make any changes to message (even the Subject line).

Instead of redirecting, select "Forward as Attachment" from the Message
menu. That forwards the message as an RFC/822 mime part and the entire
message is retained as is, but you are allowed to add comments of your own
and the message you send will attribute you as the sender.

Adding to what Remo says, almost all modern email clients will display the
attached email "inline" - as part of the message. The recipient will not
usually have to double-click it to open it. (Although I'm not quite sure if
Outlook on Windows sees .eml attachments inline since it uses a different
format for its own messages. It's possible that there you _might_ have to
double-click it and it would open in Outlook Express.)
