Problems IMPORTING OFFICE X IDENTITIES INTO OFFICE 2008

Until recently I have used Entourage from the Office X package. I just bought Office 2008 and are trying to import my old database into the new version. Everytime I do this it gives me the following two messages.

Cant complete the import. Error (-40)
Cant complete the import. Error 2.

On another forum I found the following advise:Error -40 is a positioning error (tried to position before start of file).
This might indicate file system corruption. Try running Apple's Disk
Utility: First Aid and repairing the disk till it shows clean.

I tried this but it still doesn´t work. I have so much information here that I really need to important? Does anyone have an advice? I would be very happy.

Both of these errors involve your hard drive. I suspect that since you are
running old software, your HD might be full and fragmented. Use Activity
Monitor in Utilities --> click on Disk Usage tab at the bottom of the window
to check your drive status.

I would apply the latest Apple combo updater. It will overwrite old files
that could be corrupted. For more info and links see:

You can manually move over your data.

Hi again and thank you so much for your answers. I have now moved all my folders, mail and contacts manually and whats left is my notes and my calender. I downloaded the import-export script but when I register they want me to pay $136. Is this correct. and I´m wondering, it doesnt say specificly that it will work with Entourage 2008? any advice?

Just checked and was able to export my notes. I didn't try import, but don't
see why it wouldn't work. Entourage 2008 and Leopard 10.5.2.

Export-Import Entourage is shareware ($20.00). To register

€ Double-click the Register web-page icon in the main folder, or
€ Go to Kagi at <http://order.kagi.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?storeID=LNK&&>
€ You will get a User Name and Activation Code by email from Kagi.
€ Double-click** the Unlock All Scripts X script in the main [outer]
Export-Import Entourage X folder to unlock all the scripts.
