problems in messages with received attached archives from otulook 2003

We have several Mac users and PC users.
Mac users have Entourage as a mail client.
PC users have a Outlook 2003 as a mail client.
One of PC users has a Windows Vista. The rest of PC users have Windows XP.
When the Vista user send a missage with attached archive (word doc for
example) to Mac user, this user receives a message with a DAT attached in
the
box. The DAT archive contain the archive attached from PC user, but it is
not easy to reed for a end user.
The format of message is html.
From XP user, this does not happen.
If we send a missage with attached archive in plain txt, there is no
problem.
Is there any solution for html format?

Thankyou in advanced,

Ferran

OK, No Solution for html, continuous in plain text or resorts to third party
programs for Mac.
That is not a clever solution.

With RTF it does not work either.
The interest in use html is because the users are a publicity agency, and
they use a special logo in a signature. With plain text that is no possible.
(yes with other attachment, but is not the same. HTML allows one more a more
customized presentation).

Is it your position that without a cute little logo image, recipients
would never be able to understand the actual message?

If users are receiving winmail.dat attachments then you are sending messages
in RTF format, not HTML Such mails will ONLY be readable by users using
exchange & outlook (and, maybe for some messages, gmail.com).

HTML should allow the same formatting as RTF but is an open standard than
may mailers support, unlike MS's proprietary RTF format. It will certainly
allow the insertion of a logo graphic (although I'd prefer not to receive
such messages).

Seriously, if you want the widest range of people to be able to read your
messages, stay away from RTF.
