Problems Inserting/Playing Video

Wayne

New Computer... Windows XP Home... Office XP with both 2002 and 2003
versions of PPT. I transfered PPT files to the new computer Including all
video files in the same locations and have not been able to run them or
re-insert them. Here's what I know. Video files (mpeg 1 and 2) will run in
both 2002 and 2003 versions if I insert an object and run in Media Player.
2002 will not insert mpeg1/2 files and the error message is not recoginized
format or improperly installed Quicktime. 2003 will Insert mpeg1/2 files but
will show a black screen when running the files although there is sound. I
assume a codec problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Use Windows Movie Maker (which is in XP) and open each of
the videos in turn, drag to the timeline and export as a
new file. Then insert these files in place of the existing
videos.

This'll work.
