Problems Opening Attachments

I am currently running Mac OS X Version 10.3.5 and Entourage Version
11.1.0. It looks like whenever a PC user sends me a PDF, Excel,
PowerPoint attachment, I cannot open it. When I try to open the PDF
after downloading or double clicking on it, I get an error saying that
the file is corrupted. When I try to open the .xls or .ppt
attachments after downloading or double clicking, I get an error
saying "The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a
read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not
be responding."

I am able download all of these files using my company's webmail
interface and Mac's native mail reader, but not with Entourage. Can
anyone help me? Thank you very much.

Bryan,

I've had a similar experience. Entourage wasn't automatically downloading
long messages when I selected them in my e-mail or newsgroups. It provided
a link labeled something like "Retrieve entire message". Click on that and
it should download the entire attachment, after which you should be OK.
