problems saving after site facelift

After our intranet was given a facelift, saving documents
in Front Page has become _extremely_ slow. Like go get a
cup of coffee and get it from down the street slow. Like
20-30 minutes to save a page slow.

The facelift included converting the site to frames and
using an expandable JavaScript menu.

Any clues as to why the slowdown? Any ideas on how to
speed it up? The info is getting out of date. No one
wants to deal with Front Page anymore.

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files and IE cache
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
4) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
5) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office
