Problems with downloading templates

I have Office XP 2000 version, templates from 2000 later, will not download,
when attempting to manuely download, to save on file download window, a new
window should have opened to save to a new folder, it would not, anyone help
out there??

1. Office XP has the 2002 versions of software, not 2000.

2. No matter what you do, you can't download a 2007 file unless you have
Office 2007.
