Problems with new calendar events, strange date

Os 10. 4, office 11.1.0; Germany;I 've just updated my system from
10.3.9 to 10.4.2. After this I cannot create new calendar events with a
date that makes sense. For today I get something like this "14. Okt
200514". It should be like this "14. Okt 2005".

Timezone is correct in the system preferences as well as in
entourage. It would be great if anyone has an idea how to solve this
problem.

thanks

Download and install the latest Office 2004 update, which is Office 2004
Service Pack 2. That might correct this issue.

In Office 2004, use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get the latest updates. From
any Office application, go to Help > Check for Updates (or manually launch
Microsoft AutoUpdate from the Applications folder). If any updates are
needed, they will display in a sheet, at which point you can check them and
press the "Install" button to download and install them.

Updates can also be found at the Microsoft web site:

Thank you for supporting me, but unfortunately it doesn't solve my
problem.
So I'll try to reinstall the program completely, hoping this will help.

You might also want to see if you can reproduce the problem in another
identity (Entourage > Switch Identity). If not, it could be a sign of
database corruption. Go back to your regular identity, and quit Entourage.
Try rebuilding the database.

In Entourage 2004, you must launch the Microsoft Database Utility.
1. Launch Entourage, holding down the ³Option² key. Or, launch the
Database Utility separately; it is located in HD/Applications/Microsoft
Office 2004/Office/.
2. If you are prompted, allow the Database Utility to quit open Office
applications.
3. Once the Database Utility is open, select your identity from the list at
the top.
4. Click the ³Rebuild Database² button, and click ³Continue.²

Thank you for supporting me, but unfortunately it doesn't solve my
problem.
So I'll try to reinstall the program completely, hoping this will help.

Thanks again,
The problem occured also with another identity: but nevertheless I
rebuild the database - with no effect regarding my problem.
For me it seems to be connected with the upgrade to the new version of
the os.

Any other ideas than to reinstall the office suite or to do a clean
install of the os and the reinstall the office suite?

Problem solved:
I realized that the date in some other programs was also given rather
strange so I checked the system preferences - country: I had set the
country to "own" instead of "Germany".

Now this feature is working again.
