Problems with public folders Entourage with Outlook 2003

Rene Vetter

Hi,
I'm having troubles viewing the 'global contactlist' on an Outlook 2003
server with my Entourage 11.0.0.
I do see the public folders but the content is not the same as if I look via
my webaccess.

Some settings must be wrong but which ones?

Thnx

I fear that this is because thefeature is not implemented in ENtourage
2004...

Hi,

server with my Entourage 11.0.0.

You might need to toggle the "My server requires me to log on" option in the
"advanced options" section of the "Directory" tab of your Exchange account
settings, accessible in Tools > Accounts.

You should be able to search the Global Address Book in Tools > Directory
Services, but you can't browse it.
I do see the public folders but the content is not the same as if I look via
my webaccess.

Public folders should appear if you have the Public Folders server &
Exchange Server entered correctly and the SSL option set correctly. Some
users have found success accessing public folders by adding /public/ to the
end of the Public Folders server entry.

Be aware that Entourage can't see calendar and contact public folders.
However, Microsoft recently announced that an update due in the second half
of 2005 will include an "improved public folder experience".
