problems with transition slides in a powerpoint presentation on m.

On my laptop, running on windowsXP, I'm using powerpoint 2000 with SR3, and
when I want to run a presentation, I always have problems with transitions in
slides (ex. an animation where by paragraph the text should dim after reading
it and going to next topic). When I vie the presentation on laptop it's OK,
when I'm using the monotor 2 (which is a Philips projector), when you click,
the screen does use the background of the top left side of the slide, and
projects the new text above it.

This is the case in all my presentations

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand.

I think you're saying that when you view the presentation on the projected
screen, you see the background and the top left of the slide, but I can't
quite tell what's happening with the text.
