Producer doesn't do what you think it will do!!!

Have I got this right:
Producer doesn't capture Powerpoint presentations - it only utilises the slides and timing as input - if that's the case why bother. I actually don't see the point of Producer.
I'd rather use Camtasia and then Vegas -

Whoa!

Hang on right there! Producer does capture PowerPoint presentations. Where
else does the input come from?

What it does is output them to html. Now, that is not avi or a type of
movie, but it does kinda work in Internet Explorer. So, tell me. What did
you think it did?

Your barking up the wrong tree. Try using Microsoft Encoder to capture your
presentation to a video file.
