product id

how can i change the product id for office. i mistyped it when installing it
any help would be appreciated

Mistyped it and you could install it? BTW, reinstallation could be fine.

1) The 'product ID' is *NOT* the same thing as the product installation
key. The product ID is generated from the installation key.

2) Just for kicks, I tried installing my old Office (XP) on my spare box
by mistyping the installation key. I mistyped it at least 20 times and it
wouldn't accept it. Therefore I conclude that it's impossible for the key to
be mistyped and for the installation routine to accept it as valid.
