Program accessing Outlook address book

Everytime I select "New" to send a new message in Outlook
(2002) I get a window that tells me a program is trying to
access my e-mail addresses. I'm using Word 2002 as my
defualt text editor in Win XP Pro. How can I get the
window to stop coming up every time I try to send a new e-
mail?

Wait a minute. I've never seen Outlook throw that message--only Outlook
Express.
Are you sure you're not using Outlook Express?

Not Outlook Express, definitely Outlook 2002 SP1 with Word
as the default text editor.

Never seen it. List the precise steps you are using to send a message and at
what point you get that message. State how you have the Outlook Address Book
configured. State whether this was a clean install.

I suspect there is more to this story than you are telling me. I suspect you
are at SP3 at have some add-ins triggering automation security. Information

There is nothing suspicious at all. Just a few glitches
in the system. I checked the COM Add-ins and nothing was
listed (per MKBA 288083). I removed Word as the e-mail
editor, and that caused the message to quit coming up.
If you are like me, you hate that option. Upgrade to
2003 if you have the chance.
