Programatically inserting ink annotations to a presentation

I am using VSTO 2008 and PowerPoint 2007.
I want my Add-in to insert ink annotations (those doodles you can add to a
slide during a slide show).
Is there any way of doing this without having to restort to simulating mouse
clicks and movements?
