Programming Power Point

I am using Power Point 97.

I am a programmer for several years now. Recently I was given the
chance to automate a power point presentation. The job involves
putting numbers from a Excel spreadsheet into power point.

My question is, where can I find good examples on coding in Power
Point. I was interested in web pages, sample source code etc . . .
that show me how to write code in Power Point.
