Project info button grayed out in Project 2000, why?

zoom3x,
My guess is that there are no open projects, including the default blank
project at startup. Open a project and the grayed out menu items will be
activated.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John but it still doesn't work. What I have is a master project list
with 80 some sub-projects that I created from a template outside the master
and then inserted into the master. For a while, I was able to edit
sub-project details by clicking on the sub-project to bring up the dialog box
with the project info button, then that function just quit.

zoom3x,
Since it was working at one time but doesn't now, I suspect corruption
of one or more of the files. Another possibility, there might be a
problem with your Project installation itself. For the latter, you might
want to try, Help/Detect and Repair. I'd try that first, then go to the
next step.

With 80 subproject files, it obviously will not be any small task to
ferret out problem files. You might try to narrow down the field of
possibilities by building a series of new masters, first with 40
subprojects, then 20, etc. until you find the file or group of files
that is causing the problem. Once you find the "bad" file, go to the MVP
website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and look at FAQ 43 - File Bloat? Might be corruption

Hope this helps.

John...None of that helped but I did find the answer...You have to expand the
sub-project first, then edits are possible. Thanks.
