Project 2003 - Installation problems

N

Noel

I cannot install Project 2003. The installation program
does not recognise the CD key. After entering the 25-
character CD key, I get the message "You have not entered
a valid product key". I am running Windows XP, Home
Edition. Any suggestions?

Look very carefully at the letters and numbers forming the key.
Sometimes due to font, the letters are confused. If it still doesn't
work, simply return it from where you bought it. Ask for another or
consider buying from another vendor.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Thank Rob for your suggestions, but

confused.

Believe me, I have looked very careful to the letters and
numbers. I even have had coworkers enter the 25-character
code for me.
If it still doesn't work, simply return it from where
you bought it. Ask for another or consider buying from
another vendor.

Project 2003 is part of a licensing agreement between MS
and the university where I work ("Campus Agreement"). So
I cannot return the software. A person from our IS dept.
came to my office to install Project 2003 (even with
another CD) and had the same problem ... she was puzzled
(she had installed the software y several PCs already)
and could not solve the problem.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Noel

Oh. New information.

You are talking with the right people. The IS department knows (or
should know) the procedure to install this software per the instructions
they received when they licensed it.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
