How can I unlink/delete an embedded subproject from a master project?

Hi MichealK,

To Unlink:
Double click on the Project Summary task for the subproject to show the
Insert Project Information dialog box. Click the advanced tab and
remove the check from Link to project check box.

To Delete:
Click the row number, press the delete key. A message about "summary
tasks" will appear. Choose Continue and click OK.

If you have difficulty deleting the inserted project, check the Service
Pack you are using for MS Project 2003. (Help > About Microsoft Project
Office. If you are not running SP-1 this could explain any
difficulties.

If you are using Project 2003 (standard or professional), first make
sure you have update SP-1 installed. The best way to unlink a subproject
is to select its summary line (insertion point) in the master and go to
Project/Task Information/Advanced tab. Uncheck the "link to project"
option and hit "OK".
