project 2007 encounters problem prior to changing timescale

I have created a schedule in project 2000 ( timescale:months/weeks). When I
open it in 2007 version, it displays the timescale in months/days. When I
righclick on the on the timescale and click on timescale, before even
opening, it pops a message saying microsoft encountered some problems and
need to close. Any ideas?

Not sure why this would happen. I would try setting the timescale to
weeks/days (or some other combination) in the 2000 version, and then try
again opening it.

Already tried doing it in 2000 version. Seems like they are not communicating
properly. Thanks anyways
