I have Office 2004 and am using the project Center. Why is on of the
projects grayed and the others are highlighted in black?

I'm not exactly sure I can properly parse your broken grammar, Dr. However I
think what you are seeing is the project color. Try changing it to something
else (green for example) and see if that changes it.
