I am using MS Project 2003 and also tried the 2007 Beta but unfortunately
that also didn't show these things fixed.
There are many things first on the GUI itself. Examples are
Embedded space do not get folded up on Collapse/expand. Also causes problems
in drag/drop.
When changing the view (say from Gantt to Resource and back) the view
doesn't return to the last position and goes back to the top of the page.
There are many similar things but can't remember right now.
Similarly on functional basis also I would have loved to see many more
features which seem obvious but were missing from 2007 BETA as well. Examples
again would be:
Some concept of summary tasks/milestone which can be defined in terms of
other multiple sections (possibly derived from the dependencies) and it
should show the total work and work progress as a composite of all those
dependencies.
If I add an additional person to an assigned resource by default effort
driven task duration is cut into half, however if after that I delete all the
resources it remains half and is not restored to the person days that I
initially filled in... next time if I again assign only one person the
duration will still be half.
Again many things as I go along but can't list them out here... hope you can
direct me to a forum where I can see what is coming and what is missing so I
can point out to right people...
