Project should have a viewer so that team members can comply

It is pointless for team members who have no need for Project's features to
have the main software on their workstations. Distribution as a PDF is
pretty useless as well as a project's program should be 'live'.

Hi Mark,

Your post is a bit contradictory.

Project "viewers" are available (See FAQ#16 "Project Viewer" at
http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm ) but when you talk about "live" and "team
members can comply" things get a bit muddled.

If you wish to have a team collaboration tool, Project Server and Project
Web Access are options, although not inexpensive ones. For other options,
see the Companion Products link at: http://project.mvps.org

Hope this helps.

In addition to the viewer, there has been the ability to use email as the
method of assigning and responding to tasks since 1995. It previously
required a free add-in that needed to be installed on the desktop of everyone
identified as a resource, I don't know if that add-in is still required.

Email me directly at (e-mail address removed) and I will send you a link to
a Web site which can provide you the ability to display schedules and
receive updates without requiring any special software on user's PCs.
Regards,
Rick Williams
