Entourage stores its project data in two separate locations:
* the Entourage database, which you can find in [your user
name]/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/[name of your
identity]
* the Office Projects folder, which can be found in [your user
name]/Documents
You will need to copy the Office Projects folder and, preferably, the
Microsoft User Data folder (though your Identities folder should be enough),
in order to restore your projects in their entirety. The big downside to
this method is the fact that it is going to overwrite the new database on
your MacBook Pro with the old one, i.e. any changes made to the database on
your MBP are going to be erased. If you are willing to do this, simply quit
Entourage on both machines and copy the folders I've just mentioned to the
equivalent locations on your MBP.
In a recent migration to a new MacBook Pro all my project tagging has
been lost. This is particularly bad news for contacts. Is there a file
I need to re-copy from my old Mac that will restore the Prorject
tagging? (all the projects are there)
Thanks
Tiff
