Projects archived compatible with Windows platform?

While working with Entourage 2004 as part of the Office 2004 package, and
applying the very useful functionality of archiving whole projects, I am
wondering how Windows users could import the resulting .rge file or its
contents ? Which parts are directly readable for them (I would guess at
least the VCF files) and which ones would need additional conversion ?

Kind regards,

JerMac

All archived items are stored in Internet standard formats: contacts as
vCards and events, tasks, and notes as iCal. No conversion necessary, though
you would need an app that will import these files.

The package should appear as an ordinary folder to windows, and the .vcf,
..ics & .eml files should all be quite accessible. Other files depend on what
software the windows user has available.

Even though they will be able to read the data, they will not be able to
sync with the project.
