proofing tools 2000

Hi, I am about to upgrade computers to have Windows XP instead of Windows Me
solely to get Proofing Tools on Office 2000 to work. I assume this is
unavoidable. The plan is to keep Office 2000 on Windows XP.

Is there any reason I should get Windows XP Professional instead of Windows
XP home edition with regards to Proofing Tools 2000

Is there a trial version to check if this is going to work
