About the only thing I've been able to find says it's "compatible with
Office 2003". Nothing about it working (or not working) with Office XP. I
assume not.
Note: If you have Microsoft Office XP with Proofing Tools for Office XP installed and
you upgrade to Office 2003 Editions, your proofing tools will continue to work. If,
however, you install Office 2003 Editions and then install Proofing Tools for Office
XP, your proofing tools will not work in Office 2003 Editions.
Yes, I had seen that. It is the answer to the opposite question of
what I'm asking.
I have Office XP/2002 Pro installed, but no additional proofing
tools (apart from the default English, Spanish and French). The question
is: if I buy the Office 2003 Proofing Tools and install additional
languages, will they work with this XP/2002 Office installation? I have
no intention of upgrading Office itself to 2003.
I saw that too and had to read it more than once before it sank in. Nothing
says it will so I'd assume it won't work. Backwards compatibility is a
selling point. If it's not mentioned, it's not there.
