Use the format cell function , then select the protection
tab.
Uncheck the the "locked" option then lock it for the cell
you want protected.
Then choose the tools, protect sheet, from the drop down
menu. put your password as normal and that cell will be
protected within the sheet.
If you also check the hidden box the formula will be
hidden as well.
