.pst file equivalent?

How can I open an external file in Entourage so that it's equivalent to
opening a .pst file in Outlook? For example, what I'd like to do is export a
pile of old messages that are taking up room on the Exchange server, and
rather than move them to "folders on my computer", move them to "folders on
my external network server", and then be able to open that archive in
Entourage so that it maintains the original folder structure.

If I Export to an .rge file, I can import it back into the "folders on my
computer" but what's the point of that? If I wanted them there I'd have just
copied them there in the first place.

Try using a second Identity. The messages would need to be moved to folders
"On My Computer" first, but switching to another Identity is quick.

To help automate the process....

AutoArchive Exchange Account to "On My Computer"

Move all e-mail older than 60 days from your Exchange account folders to
archive folders within the "On My Computer" folder tree.

This script is currently broken in Leopard, but there is a third party ($10)
that does the same thing that is linked on the page.
