Pst files

I was running out of room on my user directory, so I burnt
all of my archived emails (.pst format) onto CD. When I
try to import them, Outlook gives me a message stating
that permissions need to be set prior to use, then another
message saying file access is denied, you don't have
permission to access these files. Any hints on how to
retrieve the files?

When you copy files to a CD they are read-only. When/if you copy them from
a CD to a disk, they are still read-only. Outlook requires pst files to not
have the read-only flag set, which you can only do on files on a disk.

Move pst file back to a hard disk, right click on the file and choose
properties, then clear the read-only flag.

Thanks Moose, tried that, still getting the first message,
followed by "The file <filename.pst> is not a personal
folders file". Anything else I can try?

Cheers
