pub97 won't open in w98

Recently had problems in 2 seperate computers. Both had
w98 re-installed, along with other programs that were
lost, including, Oficce xp, word 2000, Pub97, and others.
Now when I tey to open a Pub97 doc on one computer I get:
This Compter performed an illegal operation;
Details;
MSPUB caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:00000017.
And on my laptop computer (W98se), I get;
This Compter performed an illegal operation;
Details;
MSPUB caused an invalid instruction in
module <unknown> at 0000:00000017.
Everything was fine previously, and I have lots of forms
that I can't afford to lose.

You are pretty talented to get that error. How do you people do these sort
of things - incredible, amazing!!!
Explain how you 'found' the programs after they were lost. Interesting
connotation that.

More than likely, this is a printer driver caused error. Which printer
driver do you have installed - Do you have a printer driver installed at
all?

If you have two computers, why not open the file on the other computer.

I now remember doing this several years ago. The "old"
files were still there, so I renamed these "old1",
and "old2"
