Hi all

We have just migrated to Exchange 2007. So far the everything works fine but
the Public folders. Entourage cannot see anything underneath the public
folders, does anyone have any idea on what can be the reason behind?

Thanks!

Hi Joaquim!

Public folder support is a "de-emphasized" option in Exchange Server
2007. I believe you will need to install support for public folder
support on your Exchange Server 2007 server if you haven't already.

Also, make sure that WebDAV services are running on your public folder
server as well.

For more information have a look at a recent blog post of mine
"Entourage requires Legacy Applications software for functionality with
Exchange Server 2007" found here
<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007...egacy_applications_software_for_function.html>.

Hope this helps!

Dear William

Thanks for the quick response. Indeed, I had already gone through your
article! We have all the webDAV services running, but nothing underneath the
public folders...

Do you know if entourage needs OWA to access public folders?

Thanks!!

I'm fairly certain that OWA is not required for public folder support.
But you can access public folders through OWA if you want to. As a test
you might try entering your OWA address followed by "/public" (for
example http://freebusy.domain.com/public) to see if this works. It
should work or else something is probably not configured completely on
your public folders server.

What happens when you try this?

Also, have you verified that public folders appear in an Outlook for
Windows client?

Dear William

From what I know it seems that public folders are not viewable through OWA.
It seems that in next service pack (due sometime soon), public folders will
be viewable through OWA.

I have checked what you told me, and nothing. Windows users can access
seamlessly to the public folders.

Thanks!
