public outlook calendar from access database

Good afternoon, I have looked at exporting a single date to outlook as an
appointment using smart tags, then i have looked into using code to do this
so i can give importance labels etc. But im having a massive problem trying
to export a starting date and a finishing date to a diary in a public folder,
can anyone help me with this? To give you more of an idea the database holds
all the information regarding rental jobs that we have, im trying to get them
exported to the public outlook diary when they are 'ordered' but Im having a
lot of trouble,
