Publisher 2002 closing down

I am running Publisher 2002 under Windows XP SP2. Publisher is a stand
alone program. I don't have Microsoft Office. This is a new computer
so XP was not an update. The problem I'm having with Publisher I also
experienced under Windows 98. The program will suddenly close down. It
'encounters a problem and needs to close.'

I've looked at the report, but I really don't know what to look for. I
do notice that the system information is incorrect. The report has the
system as NT 5.1.

I've sent in the reports and have looked for downloads that might
help. Again, I don't know what to look for.

Can anyone help me 'read' the report so I can provide better
information to this group and possibly get a remedy?

Have you activated Publisher?

Some HP printers will cause this error, might look into an updated driver.
