Publisher 2003 Bug???

B

Bobo

Hi everyone,

I just sent a business card publication using the File | Send Email | Send
Publication as Attachment option with Outlook 2003 sp1.

The attachment was sent successfully but the text I typed in the Body of the
email message was deleted / removed!!!!

Anyone else experience this???

Thanks for your help.

Bobo

PS. Have tried this several times to different email addresses.

What has this to do with a 'bug' in Publisher?! Is Publisher your email
client? No it is not. This isn't a bug in Publisher (nor is it a bug in
Outlook for that matter) I can send publicatins as attachments in exactly
the way you describe and have zero problems. This is something peculiar to
your system and nothing whatsoever to do with either Outlook - or Publisher.

Well, if I can send email from my email client without problem but when
using Publisher a problem exposes itself, it looks near as dammit to a
Publisher issue to me.

Thanks Ed - Have you seen this before??

Nope.
I would suggest writing your email outside of Publisher in Outlook or
Outlook Express, then attaching the Publisher file manually (or locate the
file in Windows Explorer, and right-click > Send To... > Mail Recipient).
Note that Publisher 2003 does not like sending emails with applications
other than Outlook Express 6 or Outlook 2003.
