Publisher 2003

The rotate buttons for 90 degree turns, etc is disabled in both the drop down menu "arrange" and the rotate icon on the tool bar. The only thing I can do is "freely rotate". How do I active the other rotate buttons?

Christine
Thanks!

Try this, group the calendar, copy and paste to a new publication. Will it flip then?
I have tried to replicate your issue and I cannot. The only thing I can think of is
there is some corruption going on.
What application are you using for the merge? Access, Excel or a Publisher list? Or
something else?

Just for this one publication. It is a premade calendar that is part of the church
newsletter. I created it in Publisher 2000 and then we just upgraded to 2003. The
calendar is on the left side of a page and I turn it right side up horizontally so I
can put new information in it. Then when I am done, I turn it on its side vertically
to publish the newsletter. As far as I know, there are no linked images in the
calendar.
Thanks for trying to help me!

Since you seem to be the pro here, I mail merged a bunch of mailing labels the
other day. I sorted it by zip code and then printed it. The zip codes that started
with a zero didn't print the "zero", just the 4 remaining digits. How can I get mail
merge in Word 2003 to print all five digits of the zip code even if the first digit
is a zero?

If you format the field for the zip code as text, the zero will merge okay.

I tried to copy the calendar and paste it into a new document, same problem. But when I click on other objects not related to the calendar, all the options for rotating are available. So it must just be something with this particular calendar in my publication. Thanks for trying to help me.

With the mail merge problem, I am using an excel data file and merging it into Word to print out mailing labels. I'm not sure how to format the zip codes as text as you suggested.

Thank you.

In Excel, select the zip code column, format cells, change to text or special.

I deleted the calendar and put a new one on. All the options for
rotate were available until I saved it and then closed the program. I
went back to edit it and now all the options are not active again,
except for the "freely" rotate. sigh.

I know this is kind of avoiding the issue at hand, but if it helps, holding
Shift (I think it's Shift. If it's not Shift it's definitely Control) while
doing a Free Rotate allows you to constrain the rotation to multiples of
15°, so it becomes much easier to rotate through a right angle.

As far as I can tell, options for flipping the calendars are never
available.

Thanks for your attempts to help. Must just be a problem with 2003, I didn't have problems with 2000.

Thanks for everyone's reponse and attempts to help. It just must be a problem with Publisher 2003. I didn't have the problem with the 2000 edition.
