Publisher w/ wide format printer

Since Publisher does not easily support wide format printing, can anyone
recommend the best program to use with an HP DesignJet 130? I am printing
spreadsheet-type tables 24 inches wide by 48 to 60 inches long. These are
scoreboards for golf tournaments and are printed from roll paper.

I am using Publisher 2003 in WinXP professional. Was hoping that Publisher
would be better suited for this use than Word 2003 but I'm not sure that
either is really what I need.

Suggestions?

Publisher has no problems in this area. What problems are you experiencing?
Publisher is perfect for this kind of job.

I can't get Publisher to recognize "roll paper" as the paper source. I must
be missing something obvious, but darned if I can figure it out as I have
very little experience in and exposure to Publisher.

Point me in the right direction and I'll dig it out. Thanks in advance.

Curtis when you find out how to get Publisher to recognise roll paper MS can
throw a party for us all.

It does if you want to print longer than 48" (about 1.2m for the metric
folks) - it will always print in sections unless you use a smaller design
paper size in Publisher and then upscale using Acrobat or Zoom Smart.

That's why I'm looking for an alternative. I am tired of having to "work
around" this problem. Currently I use scaling in Word 2003 to get the output
I need, but you should see what it does to my logo.

Thanks for the help.

The limit is the printer driver.

Interesting - I thought I had tested it fully on Publisher 2003 using
various drivers and not had success, so assumed the KB article was accurate.
