Publisher won't print to PDF Writer

I am running Publisher 2000 and Acrobat 4.0 and have been doing for
two years.

This morning I sent a PDF concept document from Publisher for comment
from the recipient.

Later I made some cosmetic changes and PDF Writer hangs at the
"Publisher is now printing .. .. ."" window.

The progress meter shows 0%

PDF Writer will print from Word.

Cute PDF will print from Publisher.

I prefer to use PDF Writer because of file size.

PDFWriter may create smaller filesizes, but for anything other than the most
simple publications it, in my experience, does not produce anywhere near
satisfactory results.

You can control the filesize of the output file from Distiller by fiddling
with the conversion options.

Thanks Mary,

I have installed the Adobe dowloads. The matter is just a nuisance
because I can work around it.

I had not been aware of the MS advice because for years the Acrobat
has worked. I certainly won't be taking that path.<G>
