Publishing a PP presentation

I choosed "save as web page" and "publish" etc. and it works find as long as
I open the html file in the computer but not on the web. From my homepage I
have a link to the folder/html document which will not open. Is anything
wrong with the link?
<A HREF="folder/filename.htm"><img src="filmikon2.jpg" width=198
height=71border="0"></A> Or do I have to make any correction in the html
doc?

This, if it worked would, when the image filmikon2.jpg was clicked would tell the browser to open the file called
filename.htm in the folder called folder.

Things I can see that would cause a problem.....

There is no space between 71 and the word border

the filmikon2.jpg must reside in the root folder (i.e. not a sub folder)

the folder called folder must exist and the file called filename.htm must also exist



Things to try...

(1) put the full path in
href=http://www.mywebsite.com/subfolder/filename.htm

(2) put a text link in also
......border="0">Text link</a>

(3) put a space in before the word border

(4) Test it on the web

Thanks a lot. I tried it all. But unfortunately it still not work. I have a
feeling that the target (the real name is "kvalitetshem4.htm") which is
created by the PP program when converting/saving to web files, can´t open.
Clicking on the link I get the error "The page cannot be found". The first
lines in the document looks like this:

etc. Now I have restored it all to how I begun. I know about the file folder
and the htm file. And the path is leading to the htm file. Still it works
fine in the computor but on the web I can opent the homepage, link to the
place where the htm file is, but the Explorer says that the page cannot be
found despite the right path is shown in the address list. I am confused

For one thing, the link is bad because of lower case letters. It should be
http://w1.404.telia.com/~u40443964/bildspel/KvalitetsHem4.htm I believe.
However, it gets badly hung in IE 6 when I try to go to that link.

Have you tried the suggestions below?

where you can "view source". It works on the computer but not on the web.

What I'm saying is that your source says:

However, your file is actually named:

http://w1.404.telia.com/~u40443964/bildspel/KvalitetsHem4.htm

The browser is sensitive to capitalization and does not find kvalitetshem4.htm
because the file name is actually KvalitetsHem4.htm.

I got lazy with the words. It's always more fun to blame something people are
familiar with. It might also be considered politically incorrect to blame an
Apache web server. <G>

Thank´s to all of you. These last explanations makes me better undestand how
things work. I saved the PPP again and was consistent with the letters all
the way and now it works. I am very pleased and I have learned a lot. Best
