pull down calender boxes not accessible with the mouse

when I use the pull down calendar boxes when create a new
task date- the calendar collapses as soon as I move the
mouse over the calender in order to select a date - so I
am forced to type in the date rather than just click it
from the calendar - I've uninstall my Logitech mouse
driver - same results - any suggestions?
