Purging old newsgroup postings?

Hello all--is there a way for me to delete old newsgroup postings in
Entourage X? I've tried selecting and pressing Delete and Cmd-Delete, but
the "Delete Message" and "Delete Thread" options are greyed-out in the
"Edit" menu. I appreciate the pointers, but I'd hate to have my hard drive
slowly fill up with messages that I don't need any more....?

Right click on the news server icon ion the oflder listing (not the
newsgroup, the news server, like 'Microsoft' instead of
'microsoft.public.mac.entourage'). Then select 'empty cache' from the
contextual menu.

Note that this will empty the entire cache for all subscribed newsgroups.
You will have to download the headers for the current crop of messages
again. You can set the number of old headers to download in the 'options'
tab of the news account set up window.
