Question on the "To:" field in e-mail messages

My friends tend to send me a lot of mass invites. However, unless I actually click "forward," I can't find a way to view all the recpients of the original message. I'll just get a little yellow box saying "__ more recipients," but I can't actually scroll through the list of addresses.

This is pretty annoying since every other mail program I've used has never tried to compact or hide the addresses of all recipients of a message. I don't know why I should have to prepare to forward a message just to see if someone has already received it or not.

How do I get around this issue?

Try command click on the more recipients and see if that helps. I don't have
a message to test this, but it works for Bcc when you are creating a
message.

Thanks for the advice. I tried that, but the notification that a message still has "__ more recipients," is like alt-text. I can't click on it.

Send me an example off list.

The last message I got had a list of addresses like this:

<[email protected]>

So, where is the problem if you can see the addresses? Before you mentioned

Send me an example offlist showing a message. User "Forward as attachment".

I thought you were asking for an example of the e-mail list. Do you want me to make a screen capture?

No, I need to see the actual email where you can't see the list of contacts
that has the little yellow box saying "__ more recipients.

Your question seems to be contradicted by you listing the contacts. Exactly
what is your problem?

I don't know how I'm contradicting myself here.

As I've stated before, I can only find all of the recipients once I've opened up the message, pressed "forward," and looked through the text of the message. I can't seem to find a way to just view all the recipients of a message without going through all those steps. Instead, when I reach the ellipses in the "to" line, the yellow box just pops up and says something like "10 more recipients," but won't actually let me view who those recipients are.

I'll forward you a copy, but I'm not sure if you'll experience the same problem unless you're one of many recipients as well. Otherwise, it's just going to be you on the to line and you'll see all the previous recipients in the forwarded message itself.

Highlight or Open the message.....Open the "Message" menu, and click Source
(or Option + Command + U)

If you scroll down, all the users in the message will be enumerated in "To:"
"CC:", etc....You can view all the users and their SMTP addresses.

Hope this helps..
