Questionnaire production

David W Allen

Can any subscriber offer a simple solution to the production of a
questionnaire in Publisher where the ticked responses have to be
inserted into a coloured box.
Could they be set up in Access (for example) and imported into
Publisher?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Are you looking to make an online questionnaire or a printed questionnaire?
Have you looked at the Insert > Symbol dialog for the Wingdings font?

Ed: This will be a printed questionnaire. Thanks for the wingdings idea,
but the box seem to be somewhat small - too small for the entry of a
'tick'.

Change the font size?

Draw a box with the AutoShape!!!
Have tried this, but I found it difficult to keep the drawn boxes
vertically below each other, and to a lesser extent, equally horizontal.

Group the boxes, then use the Align options under the Arrange menu.

Ed - thanks, never thought of that, but, here is another poser, how can
I fill the box created with colour? The free-hand rectangle that I have
used up until now can be colour filled, but I am not certain how a font
can be.

If you are using Publisher 2002 or up, you can place the AutoShapes inline
with the text - and use tabs and paragraphs to keep them aligned with the
text.

If you are using the box as a bullet, click special characters, high-light the
¶ and change the color.

Confession time: I just learned how to do that the other day. I

And you asked me first!
