Radio button in a form into a Word document

I need to include a radio button (no check button) in a form into a word
document. I´ve tried with a radio button from control palette (or tool
palette, I don´t know its name in english version) but it doesn't behave
well in forms.
Any idea?.
Carlos.

Those are your only choices, really. The only other thing I can think of
would be to use a set of MacroButton fields, connected to a macro that
changes the "content" the fields are displaying according to what the user
clicks on. Similar to how the checkboxes work in the Fax templates provided
by MS with Word, except much more complicated.

I can't imagine why Microsoft didn't implement radio buttons in Word forms.
Apart from my problem I've read in some forums ways to circumvert check
boxes behaviour to mimic radio buttons. It is much easier to have it
implimented such as listboxes, comboboxes and so on, so people can focus on
itsjob and not Microsoft's.

Than you very much for your advice.
Carlos.

I think I know why there are no radio buttons in the Forms controls.
All the controls that are there (text, check box, dropdown) are
self-contained; that is, each control determines its own value and
isn't affected by any other control -- unless you supply VBA code to
make the connection. Radio buttons are by definition part of a group,
and selecting one of them clears all the others.

I think that interaction presented too much of a challenge within the
Forms framework. The feeling within the MS development group was
probably that Forms radio buttons weren't required because there are
alternatives (the Control Toolbox or userforms). I really wish they
had made the effort, though. The "alternatives" require code, which
can be hard to develop if you aren't a programmer, and which also
triggers the macro security warning when you send the form to other
people.

Unless you use dropdowns... No code required... just have to swallow your
pride and redesign your form! ;-)
