Hi Everyone-
I have an Entourage 2004 (11.3.3) user that on a few HTML formatted
incoming messages, some or all of the body of the messages are
displayed as random letters and characters. The strange things are
the following:
1. Logging in through webmail, the message looks fine on the Exchange
server.
2. If you click the forward or reply buttons the message looks fine
in the quoted text.
3. If you select the message in question and then select "Source"
from the View menu, the text is just fine in the raw message.
I've done the following:
1. Re-installed Office, ensured all updates were applied.
2. Repaired and compacted the Entourage database (was only about 300
MB anyway)
3. Dumped the locally cached messages so that Entourage would have to
reload the messages from Exchange
4. Deleted the Exchange account all together and re-added it.
Plain text messages aren't effected at all. So, as far as I can tell,
it's some issue with the translation between the HTML code that's
coming in and the displaying of it as an HTML message. Anyone run
into this problem before?
