Re-activation Require --Stupid

I have a client who has a stand alone PC running office XP. The graphics
board failed and was re-placed. Office XP picked this up and demanded
re-activation. Does this mean that Microsoft are now starting to demand
licensing for repairs now as well. As this machine is NOT connected to the
internet this in effect wasted time when the user could have been back on the
machine working. I can understand licensing, but making repairs difficult,
come on grow up microsoft( the m is intentionally small to match their small
minds)
