OS X got corrupted beyond repair and I had to reformat the hard disk
and install a new OS. While I do have everything backed up, I don't
know how to make Entourage accept my Microsoft User folder. How do
restore Entourage with your old data?
Put it in [Hard Disk]/Users/[username]/Documents folder to replace any MUD
folder that may have been created if you already started up Entourage. The
first time you start up, it may ask you to choose which identity you want if
there's more than one. If Entourage data is also corrupted and it won't
open, close all Office apps and rebuild the database by holding down the
Option key as you launch Entourage. Choose Advanced Rebuild. (If it still
says Office apps are open, go to System preferences/Login Items and remove
all instances of "Microsoft Database Daemon, then Log Out and log in.) If it
says it can't rebuild, then you're stuck, but you will most likely be OK.
