Hey gang. I"m new to the group and I'm positive this has been driving
everyone else crazy. If you're not familiar with the problem, I'll
explain it briefly.. then my work around below.
Problem: I make an 'all-day' event. No problem. event shows on
correct day in calendar view, etc...
Once you make the even occur multiple times and save it, the event
jumps to the wrong day in the caledar view.
It appears to be a time-zone issue. When you make the event, the
yellow warning bar says 'Event and computer time zones do not match.
in calendar views the event time is adjusted to display correctly.'
It appears as if Entourage always thinks my mac's timezone is Central
(US & Canada). If I change the event's time zone to central, the
warning goes away. I ran the experiment setting my mac to pacific
time zone, and then the default event time zone (in preferences).
When I make a new event, it still shows the error, stating that the
event and mac are set to different time zones. Again, setting the
event back to central, clears up the problem.
My current work around has been to simply set my mac, and Entourage
prefs to Central time zone, and I dont appear to have any problems.
Although who knows what will happen once the bug is fixed, and I
change my mac back to eastern central time zone like it's supposed to
be.
If this issue has been addressed... I apologize for clogging up the
board...
