Re-receiving Emails - IT WON'T STOP!!

Hi!

I opened Entourage today and something weird happened. It is getting all of
the messages left on the server. I know there is an option which lets you do
this, but the thing is I didn't ask entourage to do this and now I have
hundreds of emails being downloaded into entourage and I can't make it stop!

Why would it do this? How can I make sure it doesn't happen again?

Just update on this - I quit entourage and upon opening it downloaded all
these emails AGAIN - so now I have THREE of everything in entourage.
AARGH!

this happened to me, and it turned out that the server was doing
something and the downloads were their fault. I would call my server
and ask if they have been doing maintainance.
