Read notification > Message deleted without being read | Incorrectly!

Hi Guys,

I have a problem which I can't fix. If somebody sends me an email with the
"read notification" option selected, the moment I open up the email they
will immediately get a reply email saying that "your email has been deleted
without being read" ... which makes me look like an arse and is clearly
incorrect.

Any ideas ????
