read-only powerpoints

I am working on a Powerpoint project and I am using Powerpoint 2003. I
want to be able to go from my home computer to the library and so forth. The
end product must be burned onto a CD.
I realize that all documents burned on the CD are read-only, so how
should I save my presentation on the disk and be able to open it and work on
it at different locations? Should I just use floppy disks and burn the final
product onto a CD?
Thank you

This is where thumb drives come in handy.

1) Never, ever, ever work off of any removable media.

2) As long as the PowerPoint fits on a floppy, you can use it to transport
the presentation between the two hard drives. Copy to the floppy, then copy
to the other hard drive. See item 1.

3) You can also use a CD as a transport media, but as you have said, each
transport will be a new burn read-only (you'll need to adjust the file's
properties in order to edit it on the hard drive).

Happy presenting,
